Paul Osho Joins Coronation As Sustainability Manager

Sustainability professional, Paul Osho has been appointed as the Sustainability Manager at Coronation, one of Africa’s leading financial services institutions.

Prior to his new appointment, he was Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Fidelity Bank Plc where he spearheaded and coordinated a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with the bank’s CSR pillars, boosting project execution by 20%, increasing staff engagement by 30%, and enhancing sustainability outcomes.

He has over 6 years of experience which spans across the development, implementation and integration of industry-standard sustainable strategies and policies into business practices to create a socially responsible, ethical and climate-resilient businesses.

He also possess strong skills in environmental and social impact assessments, conducting regular E&S assessments on credit facilities to identify and mitigate sustainability-related risks, including environmental impacts, social impacts, and reputation risks.

Paul’s expertise in disclosure and reporting is another key area of strength. By integrating environmental and social considerations into enterprise risk management frameworks, he has enhanced resilience and reduced potential liabilities, collaborating with internal audit and compliance teams to develop effective monitoring systems and risk evaluation processes.

He has also worked on the preparation and publication of sustainability reports and external assurances, ensuring compliance with recognized frameworks such as GRI, TCFD and the newly ratified ISSB standard.

Paul’s career journey started as a Sustainable Development Goals Facilitator for NYSC SDGs CDS Lagos where he planned and executed advocacy programs in selected secondary schools in Shomolu LG of Lagos State, focusing on raising awareness and promoting action on SDG goals related to education, gender equality, health, and decent job for all.

At the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, he served as the Research Assistant with the responsibility of conducting comprehensive data gathering activities, including literature reviews, participant interviews, and survey administration.

He then moved to Zenith Bank Plc as the Sustainability and Economic Research Personnel where he was saddled with the responsibility of implementing and executing CSR projects in line with the bank’s CSR Pillars; Established partnerships to ensure successful execution of projects within specified time and budget; Monitored and measured sustainability targets, enhancing performance outcomes.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Technology in Geography and Meteorology from the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
