Applications have opened for the 2026 Audi Environmental Foundation Scholarship, a fully funded programme that will support young climate leaders to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town.
The scholarship, offered by the Audi Environmental Foundation in partnership with One Young World, will select 10 young changemakers working on environmental and climate solutions. The summit is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 6, 2026.
According to the organisers, the initiative targets individuals actively addressing climate challenges, particularly in vulnerable communities, as global concerns over climate impacts continue to intensify.
Selected candidates will receive full funding to participate in the summit, including travel, accommodation, and meals. Scholars will also gain access to networking opportunities with policymakers, business leaders, and fellow innovators, as well as an exclusive pre-summit programme hosted by the foundation on November 2.
Eligibility is open to applicants aged 18 to 30, although candidates above this age range may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional leadership and impact. Applicants must show a strong track record in advancing environmental solutions, with focus areas including climate technology, environmental education, climate justice, ecosystem protection, and community resilience.
The organisers added that participants must be available to attend the summit in person in Cape Town.
The scholarship forms part of broader efforts to elevate youth-led climate action by providing a global platform for collaboration and visibility.
