Sustainability professional, Oluwaseun Agbebi has joined the services of Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) Plc. as Sustainability (ESG) Manager.
Oluwaseun who joined the FMN some weeks ago, is expected to bring onboard his over 10 years of cross-cultural and cross-sectoral experience in the design, development and implementation of sustainability (ESG) initiatives and strategies, reporting, management using modern user-friendly tools and systems and environmental studies/project coordination, among others to bear in his new position.
Oluwaseun who also boasts competence in management, environmental fieldwork design and execution, environmental assessments reports, project management & implementation, environmental laboratory analysis and HSE risk assessment was with Dangote Industries Limited where he held the position of Group Sustainability Specialist for about three years before joining FMN.
Taking to his LinkedIn page to make the announcement, he wrote: “The exciting journey of integrating Sustainability/ESG into business culture and strategy begins.
“My simple plan on Sustainability/ESG strategies implementation is “Don’t create problems while solving for other problems. Keep it simple and impactful,” he noted.

Oluwaseun has worked and is actively involved in numerous completed/ongoing projects and studies across agricultural, manufacturing, mining and oil & gas sectors in Nigeria and West Africa, especially in delivering sustainability (ESG) reports to diverse stakeholder groups, environmental and social studies reports, laboratory analysis and data generation, Stakeholder Engagement and Materiality Assessment, ESG Performance Benchmarking, Socioeconomic Impact Assessment (SIA), Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Environmental Baseline Studies (EBS), Environmental Evaluation & Extend of Contamination, Biological Monitoring Studies (BMS), Crude Oil Fingerprinting & Oil Spill Forensic Study, Shoreline Clean-up Assessment Techniques (SCAT), Environmental Remediation, etc.
Oluwaseun has an M.Sc. in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of Derby, UK, as well as a B.Sc from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He also possesses related professional licenses & certifications (from ISSP, GRI, ISO, etc.).
He has delivered numerous trainings (on E&S, HSE and ESG) to diverse professionals across Nigeria & West Africa and is also an ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility) Lead Implementer, Lead Auditor & Trainer. Oluwaseun has authored over 7 scientific scholarly articles, participated, and trained in several conferences, seminar, trainings, and workshops.
