LEAP Africa To Hold 10th SIPA Conference Sept. 8

All arrangements have been concluded to hold the 10th legacy edition of LEAP Africa’s Innovators Programmes and Awards (SIPA) billed for Thursday, September 8, 2022.

According to the organizers, the 2022 SIPA conference themed “Reawaken, Redesign and Re-emerge: Africa Beyond Potential” will hold at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria.

They added that this year’s conference will build conversations pertinent to a reimagined approach to leadership and innovation on the African continent. This is especially as more young people and youth-led organizations emerge in solving youth-related issues, giving the need for increased transgenerational partnerships through mentoring, coaching, and other activities.

They added that as LEAP Africa reflects on 20 years of influence in the youth development space, it is imperative to rethink the future of leadership as it positions as thought leaders within the youth ecosystem.

Speaking at the edition will be Henry Kaestner, Managing Principal, Sovereign’s Capital who is the keynote speaker. He will be joined by Efosa Ojomo, Head of Global Prosperity of Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation; Sangu Delle, Chairman/COO of Africa Health Holdings, and Vanessa Garrison, Co-founder/COO, GirlTrek.

LEAP Africa’s Social Innovators Programme (SIP) is an accelerator fellowship that empowers young change-makers through a holistic approach to building their capacity, connections, and credibility. It was borne out of the understanding of the challenges faced by most young social enterprises are faced with challenges such as early-stage funding, resource, and connection deficit that hamper their growth and sustainability.
