Access Bank, Grassroots Smile Initiative Offers Free Oral Health Services To 5,000 In Kano

One of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, Access Bank, and a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Grassroots Smile Initiative (GSI) have offered free oral health services to over 5,000 people in Kano State.

Speaking at the service held at the Muhammad Jiddah Hospital in Fagge LGA, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GSI, Professor Ade Adebola, said the gesture was aimed at providing oral health outreach to the teeming populace of Kano.

He further explained that GSI, with support from Access Bank, conducted oral health services in six LGAs of Kano Central Senatorial District.

He noted, “We are rendering services in oral health, and I want people to know that oral health is not just about teeth, but general health. What we are providing are preventive, promotional, and curative services for people who cannot afford and people who do not have access to oral healthcare.”

Commenting at the service, a representative of Access Bank, Fumilayo Eyusuile, said the reason behind sponsoring the services by the bank was to discharge their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
