The second edition of the Environmental Sustainability Conference, Expo, and Awards (ECOSEA) will take place on December 14, 2023, at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The event which is themed “Sustainable Collaboration & Nigeria’s Carbon Footprint” is in line with this year’s World Environment Day theme, #BeatPlasticPollution. ECOSEA is powered by Impact Reports Africa, a fast-rising CSR, and Sustainability print and digital platform,
According to the organizer, the event is curated as a convergence of stakeholders in environmental sustainability in both the public and private sectors, as well as development agencies to develop a blueprint of solutions tailored to address some of the challenges peculiar to Africa, with emphasis on Nigeria.
The annual event which had its maiden edition last year is a one day event; with three segments: conference, Expo and awards. The conference brings together sustainability professionals to proffer solutions to the challenges facing the sector. For the awards, outstanding sustainability professionals and organisations would be recognised for their giant strides and contributions to environmental sustainability in the country. The Expo is designed to showcase the latest innovative eco-friendly products and
initiatives in the private and public sectors.
The event will be a unique gathering of sustainability professionals and experts right after the COP 28 Dubai conference. At the Lagos conference, the organisers would be recognising and celebrating champions of environmental sustainability in the country, while also positioning the programme as a tool of inspiration for others
ECOSEA convener, Joshua Ajayi said “the outcome of the conference would help promote the actualisation of environment-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and assist in the formulation of policies that will enhance their realisation in the country.
