Sterling One Foundation To Hold ESG Series, April 30

Sterling One Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Sterling Bank, has announced its Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) Series, to elevate professionals’ competencies in integrating ESG principles into organizational frameworks.

With the theme, “Understanding ESG and its Business Case”, the virtual event is scheduled to be held on April 30, 2024.

The event will feature a line-up of distinguished speakers which include, Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation; Dr. Irene Robinson-Ayanwale, Abimbola Olufore Wycliffe, Head UNIDO-ITPO Nigeria and Marilyn Obaisa-Osula, Head, ESG, Sustainability & Climate Change at PwC for engaging discussions on ESG and how to ensure adherence to international ESG standards.

The Foundation made the announcement on its LinkedIn page said “As part of our commitment, along with our partners PwC, UNIDO-ITPO Nigeria, Sterling Bank, NGX Group, LBS Sustainability Center, and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry to support professionals in comprehending, implementing, and reporting sustainability progress, while aligning with global standards, we are thrilled to present the first edition of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Series themed ‘Understanding ESG and its Business Case.

“This comprehensive series aims to elevate professionals’ competencies in integrating ESG principles into organizational frameworks, supported by accredited certifications. Participants will gain profound insights and ensure adherence to international ESG standards.”
