FG To Partner Hecate Global Renewable To Sustain Energy Sector

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji has said that the country is partnering with Hecate Global Renewables and other renewable energy companies to develop and sustain the energy sector in the country.

This was made known by the Minister during a courtesy visit by the delegation of Hecate Global Renewables (USA) in Abuja.

According to him, the development of the energy sector will boost our quest for industrialization, job creation, and the desired economic boom in Nigeria.

Speaking on the partnership, the Minister said partnering with Hecate Global Renewables is timely and in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of this Administration, targeting improved power generation will enhance the completion of the various renewable energy projects in the country.

In addition, the Director-General, the Energy Commission of Nigeria, (ECN) Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi said that the International Renewable Energy Agency has conducted some studies on Solar Energy which will enhance climate change mitigation of greenhouse gasses as well as improve the health of humanity.

Earlier, The Head of Business Development, Sub-Saharan in Africa, Ms. Catharine Jimmy Mfere, said that Hecate Global Renewables Company is one of North America’s largest renewable energy generation and Battery Storage project that develop, build, own, and operate in portfolio utility-scale green generation, renewable energy and battery storage in targeted growth markets.

The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Intent between the Ministry and Hecate Global Renewables.
