ESG Summit, To Highlight Climate Policy On Africa’s Development

The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Nigerian community will host the 2025 ESG Summit, Exhibition, and Awards today, May 22, 2025, in Lagos.

This year’s theme, “Nigeria’s Green Transition Efforts and Climate Change Revolution,” highlights the growing role of climate action as both an environmental imperative and an economic opportunity.

The summit will delve into the transformative potential of climate policy in shaping Africa’s development and redefining the global energy landscape.

Key topics will include: Nigeria’s expanding climate change legislation, the ambitious Project Evergreen and emerging carbon markets.

According to organisers, ESG Exhibition will offer organizations a strategic platform to engage their target markets, display innovations, and reaffirm their commitment to sustainability.

It’s designed to maximize brand exposure, enhance visibility, and cost-effectively build strategic relationships with stakeholders.

“Complementing the summit and exhibition is the 2025 National Sustainability Achievement Awards, which will honor organizations making outstanding contributions to sustainable development in Nigeria. These awards recognize entities that meet human needs while conserving national resources and advancing environmental stewardship.” The organisers noted.

The event is organized by ESG Impact Consulting Ltd., a sustainability-focused firm dedicated to developing practical solutions for Nigeria’s environmental and social challenges. Through research, reports, and tailored ESG services, the firm supports organizations in aligning with global sustainability standards.

With the 2025 ESG Summit, Nigeria is taking bold steps to lead the continent in the green transition—turning climate challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth and innovation.
