Africa CDC To Host 5th Global High-Level Ministerial Conference On Antimicrobial Resistance In Nigeria

Africa CDC is proud to stand alongside Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, as we prepare for the upcoming 5th Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance in Abuja, Nigeria, June 29–30, 2026.

For the first time, this pivotal conference comes to Africa as a testament to our continent’s leadership and commitment to tackling hashtagAMR, building on the momentum of the 2024 hashtagUNGA‘s Political Declaration on AMR.

The conference marks a critical milestone in advancing coordinated continental leadership, sustainable action, and multisectoral collaboration to combat AMR.

Africa CDC will unveil the African Union Framework for AMR Control 2026–2030, championing a hashtagOneHealth approach that unites human, animal, and environmental health.
