The Recyclers Association of Nigeria has announced plans to host its 3rd Annual Recyclers Conference and Annual General Meeting, bringing together stakeholders across the country’s waste management and circular economy value chain.
The two-day event is scheduled to take place from April 30 to May 1, 2026, at the Muson Center in Lagos.
According to the organisers, the conference will convene more than 1,000 participants, including over 100 decision-makers, 20 speakers and 30 exhibitors, reflecting growing interest in Nigeria’s recycling sector amid rising environmental concerns.
This year’s theme, “Smart Recycling Frontiers: Integrating Technology, Intelligence and Innovation for a Greener Planet,” will focus on the role of emerging technologies and data-driven solutions in improving waste collection, processing and resource recovery.
The conference programme will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, technical paper sessions, exhibitions, masterclasses and an award ceremony aimed at recognising excellence within the recycling industry.
Organisers said the event is designed to foster collaboration between policymakers, private sector players and development partners, while also providing a platform to explore investment opportunities and partnerships in Nigeria’s evolving circular economy.
Industry stakeholders are expected to deliberate on strategies to scale up recycling infrastructure, improve efficiency in waste management systems and accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions to address plastic pollution and other environmental challenges.
The Recyclers Association of Nigeria noted that the conference comes at a critical time as the country seeks to strengthen its sustainability agenda and transition towards a more resource-efficient economy.
Registration for the event is currently open to participants across the public and private sectors, as well as researchers and environmental advocates.
