Oluwatoyin Aralepo Assumes New Role As Director Finance At Mastercard Foundation

Business leader and finance professional, Oluwatoyin Aralepo has been elevated to the position of Director Finance, West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) & West Africa At Mastercard Foundation, an international non-governmental organization established by Mastercard.

Prior to her new role, Oluwatoyin was Director Finance, Entrepreneurship, Pan-African Programmes at the company, having joined Mastercard Foundation in 2022 as Director Finance, Programmes.

With over two decades’ experience as a commercial astute business leader and finance professional, Oluwatoyin has carved a niche as a Strategic Finance Expert in building solid financial structures.

Her core competencies lie in mobilizing internal/external resources, SME business Modelling, building strong partnerships, market insights/data, and financial planning to support corporate-decision makers in fundraising, entering new markets, and scaling businesses.

Oluwatoyin started her career journey at Standard Trust Bank as Business Process Improvement & Fincon Officer where she was responsible for improving business process initiatives, performance reporting and analysis.

She then moved to UBA Group as Head Budget, after a year, she joined Airtel Nigeria where she worked with clients at the higher end of the organizational spectrum for over 12 years.

Oluwatoyin also served at Cellulant as Chief Finance Officer where she was responsible for driving the company’s overall Financial function and Strategic Financial direction, this included developing and implementing the organization’s short- and long-term Financial strategies at corporate and business levels, facilitating the end-to-end discharge, and establishment of effective financial policies, and procedures.

Other places she has worked before joining Mastercard Foundation are Liquid Intelligent Technologies as Chief Financial Officer; and IHS Towers as Director Corporate Excellence & Progamme Management. Aside serving others well, she also founded Africa Finance & Strategy Hub.

She holds a BSc in Accountancy from Ondo State University as well as an Executive MBA from London School of Business and Finance (LSBF).
