In commemoration of the 17th anniversary of Noah’s Ark Communications, the agency organized a Community Clean-up campaign that involved all ‘Arknimals’ across the Ark Group, in partnership with the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Ministry of Environment, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), and the Nigerian Police. The Clean-up campaign also involved sensitizing the public on the importance of recycling.
According to Olajumoke Abodunrin, Business Director of Noah’s Ark Communications “This exercise was to celebrate Noah’s Ark at 17 and what better way to be a responsible Terrible Teen”
The team took to the streets, picking up plastic bottles and sachet water nylons along designated routes in Lagos. The exercise aimed to raise awareness about the need for proper waste management and recycling practices.
The group emphasized the importance of sorting waste, separating plastic and glass from food waste, and recycling. They encouraged Lagos residents to adopt these practices in their daily lives.
The partnership with LAWMA, the Ministry of Environment, LASTMA, and the Nigerian Police demonstrates the collaborative effort to address environmental concerns in Lagos. The Arknimals’ initiative serves as a call to action for individuals, organizations, and governments to work together toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
