IHS Towers, one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure providers in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East by tower count and the fourth largest independent multinational tower company globally, has appointed Suleiman Ibrahim as Manager, Sustainability.
In his new position, Suleiman Ibrahim may be expected to oversee the creation and implementation of IHS Tower’s sustainability strategy as well as working with all areas of the business to ensure that it operates in an environmentally, socially, and economically responsible way, among other duties.
Before his recent appointment, Suleiman was with Access Bank Corporation Sustainability section where he worked on some pioneering initiatives and projects that have shaped the sustainability landscape in the banking industry in Nigeria.
He joins an organization that hitherto has built a business that promotes infrastructure sharing, drives connectivity across its markets, and have invested in carbon reduction solutions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
HIS Tower’s sustainability strategy is focused on four pillars Ethics and governance, Environment and climate change, Education and economic growth, and people and communities.
Suleiman Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Lagos and numerous certificates from training locally and internationally.
